Just got my April Ipsy Glam Bag in the mail and I am pretty excited about at least a few things that came inside! First off, I actually really like the design of the bag. The size is good, and the design (a turntable with a record that says “Beauty Rocks”) is fun & cute. Let’s get to the actual products!
KISS Looks So Natural Lashes
This is a product I’m excited about. I’ve worn fake lashes one time, for a friend’s photo shoot so I don’t have much experience with them on myself. Most of them look too fake for my tastes. These actually look pretty natural though, probably in part because of the tapered ends. If I like them on myself, I’ll probably buy them. Full size; $4.25
Caitlyn Tinted Lip Balm in Acid Pink
I’ve never even heard of this brand before, but I was immediately intrigued. I love the design; a lip brush is included as part of the packaging. “Tinted lip balm” is not a particularly accurate description of the product though. It is very pigmented with a satin finish. It’s a bit drying, but a bit of clear lip gloss over it helps with that. I wish it was a more wearable color, since neon pink lips aren’t generally a staple look of mine, but nice to have for special occasions. Full size; $19.95
Not excited about this one. To be honest with you, I can never get any of it to show up on my skin or lips. This gets a pass. Sample size.
Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide on Pencil in Black Velvet
I have been a long time fan of many of Urban Decay’s products, and the 24/7 eyeliners already have a place in my favorites list. These things are long lasting and non-irritating (even on the water line). Travel size; $15
City Color Shadow & Highlight Mousse in White Gold
The color of this product is gorgeous. It looks white, but when you apply and blend it turns a beautiful gold hue. The formula is creamy. It has a bit of a scent, but it’s not terribly overpowering. I won’t be using this as a highlighter because I have cool undertones, but as an eyeshadow it’s quite lovely. Full size; $3.99
All in all, I’ve been really happy with the Ipsy bags I’ve gotten so far. And for only being $10/month, I definitely feel like I get my money’s worth. You can subscribe here.
